Tübingen is mainly a university town. Science and research are everywhere. On the hill above the city they are building more and more cyber. The wooden boats on the Neckar form a surprising contrast to this development. If you are in Tübingen, you are almost required to ride a punting boat. If you want to fulfill this duty, you can do so and at the same time support the Tage der digitalen Freiheit, because the money from this hackertour goes directly there.

The language of the tour will be German or English depending on the group, with a shortened summary for the minority.

Organizer:

Heinrich, member of the Tübingen Chaos group, former long-term student, works something with a pc for the local university, and has been a part time punter with his own boat since 2009.

Accessibility:

Punting boats are not suitable for wheelchairs. Although the boat used for the tour can only be sunk on purpose, boarding is not recommended for people who are afraid of water or have balance problems.

Schedule:

• from 17:00: meeting at the info desk in the foyer of the Westspitze venue
• 17:05: walking together from the Westspitze venue to the Casino landing stage in Wöhrdstraße
• 17:20: start of the punting boat tour
• 18:50: end of the tour and walking back together to the Westspitze venue

• 4:00 p.m.: Guided tour begins at the Landestheater Tübingen
• 6:00 p.m.: Tour ends and we will walk back together to the Westspitze venue
